Jack Traven and his partner Harry Temple are SWAT team explosives experts in Los Angeles. They’re called in to free a group of office workers from an elevator that’s trapped between floors in a downtown high-rise. Howard Payne, an explosives expert who used to be with the Atlanta, Georgia bomb squad, has promised that they’ll all be blown to bits unless he’s paid off. Traven and Temple rescue the hostages, but Payne escapes. Later, while Traven is out getting coffee in his neighborhood one morning, Traven witnesses a city bus explode, killing several people. Traven picks up a nearby ringing pay phone, only to hear Payne warn that another bus, filled with innocent commuters, has been wired with a bomb. When the bus reaches the speed of 50 miles per hour, the bomb becomes armed, and if the bus drops below 50 after that — or if any passengers are taken off the bus, or if the ransom isn’t delivered at the appointed time — the bomb will explode. Traven alerts the bomb squad and goes after the bus, boarding it as it speeds through rush-hour traffic on a Los Angeles freeway. One passenger, a thug fearing arrest, pulls a gun and accidentally wounds the driver, so passenger Annie Porter has to take the wheel while Traven makes radio contact with headquarters and plans a rescue. Annie is perfect for the job too, because she is currently without her license because of a speeding ticket. The bus must be kept moving faster than 50 MPH, so it’s given a police escort that clears the way until it can be rerouted onto an airport landing strip. Then Traven, Temple, and Payne begin a deadly game of cat and mouse. Temple tries to figure out where Payne is hiding, while Traven tries to figure out where on the bus the bomb is hidden and, once he finds it, he tries to figure out how to disarm it.

Murli Manohar is a barber in a small town in India. He would like his son, Amar, to take over his business. But Amar is a slacker and a day-dreamer, who dreams of making it big in Bollywood movies and getting rich quick. When Amar finds out that a rich heiress, Raveena, is looking for a groom to marry, he decides to go and try his luck. On the way there, he meets with another slacker by the name of Prem, who is the son of a tailor named Bankeylal Bhopali. Prem is also on his way to meet Raveena and attempt to convince her to marry him. When both find out that they are after the same woman, they decide to outdo each other to win over Raveena’s affections. Unsure of what groom, she is going to marry, Raveena asks her secretary, Karisma, to pose has herself, while she assumes her name. The result is hilarious chaos.

Set in 1920’s New York City, this movie tells the story of idealistic young playwright David Shayne. Producer Julian Marx finally finds funding for the project from gangster Nick Valenti. The catch is that Nick’s girl friend Olive Neal gets the part of a psychiatrist, and Olive is a bimbo who could never pass for a psychiatrist as well as being a dreadful actress. Agreeing to this first compromise is the first step to Broadway’s complete seduction of David, who neglects longtime girl friend Ellen. Meanwhile David puts up with Warner Purcell, the leading man who is a compulsive eater, Helen Sinclair, the grand dame who wants her part jazzed up, and Cheech, Olive’s interfering hitman / bodyguard. Eventually, the playwright must decide whether art or life is more important.

Pratap is a man without any motivation, aim or direction in life.
